Couples Therapy

Partnering with another person in an intimate relationship is a brave endeavor. Couples today face complex life challenges and transitions on top of the inherent challenges of a relationship - two people from different families with different histories and ways of being sharing life together.

Couples see a counsellor for many reasons:

  • Some come generally functioning well, but seek to regain a spark or vitality in their relationship.

  • Some come finding themselves arguing, finding it difficult to understand the other and resolve conflict.

  • Some come having experienced painful life events and deeply grieving.

  • Some come to process a breach of trust such as an affair.

  • Some come unsure if they want to continue in relationship.

  • Others come clear that they want to separate and seek to do so well.

Whatever brings you here, we seek to understand with compassion. We do not judge. We are interested only in the change that you seek and in assisting you to achieve this. When experiencing relationship difficulties it is easy to feel negative. There is positive hopeful work for couples at all stages.
